This poster is based off an image of the historic Astor Theatre in St Kilda, Melbourne. The style is inspired by vintage travel posters and utilises a minimal colour palette to emphasise the vintage print style.

“ASTOR” 2024

These two posters are based on the film ‘Stand by Me’ (Directed by Rob Reiner, 1986), and both were created in different styles. On the left, a duo-tone poster in a minimal design depicts the lighthearted side of the film, with a focus on adventure and adolescence. The poster on the right explores the darker themes of grief and the sudden and early coming of age.

“stand by me” 2025

This poster is inspired by early pictorial photography styles. The image is a composite, with effects added through Adobe Camera RAW, including the light bursts and vignette. The image evokes a spooky, Lynchian feeling, whilst also creating a strong source of light from the centre which creates a sense of calm.

“pictorial” 2024

This poster series is inspired by the history of the fight for women’s rights, including the introduction of the contraception pill, giving women more bodily autonomy, the suffragette movement, giving women the right to vote, and the very current struggles around household violence against women. They are typography focused, with the aim to distort the text so that it is almost illegible and becomes part of the imagery.

“For women” 2025

This poster is part of a larger design suite created for the promotion of a fictional exhibition featuring the work of fashion designer and architect Iris Van Herpen. The poster design is inspired by Van Herpen’s style motifs, including nature, flowing water, pattern and repetition. The name ‘echoes’ is derived from the way in which her designs feature layers and layers of pattern, creating an echo of itself, and the repetition of the word emphasises this. The colour palette is simple yet bold, much like Iris Van Herpen’s designs.
